Chin Dimpling

Chin dimpling, often described as a “pebbled” or “orange peel” texture, occurs when the mentalis muscle becomes overactive. This muscle contraction causes uneven skin texture, particularly when speaking or smiling.

Botox relaxes the mentalis muscle, allowing the chin to appear smoother and more balanced. As muscle tension decreases, the skin overlying the chin becomes more even in appearance.

This treatment is especially effective for patients who notice chin dimpling becoming more prominent with age or facial movement.
